Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of Grindscaper: Pocket Crowd War, including its native, browser, and Reddit editions (the “Game”). By accessing or using the Game, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Game.

The Game is published by Mohammed El Amine Abdelrahmane Larabi, a micro-entrepreneur operating as Arkamia, in France. References to “Arkamia”, “we”, or “us” mean this publisher.

Grindscaper is under active development. Alpha and testing versions may contain bugs, incomplete features, balancing changes, interruptions, or progress resets. Features, content, compatibility, and availability may change between versions.

Test access does not guarantee that a feature, platform edition, saved state, or online service will remain available in a later release.

You may use the Game only if your use is permitted by the rules of your platform and applicable law. If local law requires permission from a parent or guardian, you must obtain it before playing.

The Game does not require a separate Arkamia account. Platform editions may require an Apple, Google, Reddit, itch.io, or other platform account governed by that provider's terms.

Standard Access License

Arkamia grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Game for non-commercial entertainment and testing, subject to these terms and the rules of the platform through which you access it.

Free downloads, browser or Reddit access, playtests, subscriptions, promotional access, and other access for which you did not purchase the Game use this Standard Access License unless Arkamia expressly states otherwise.

Permanent Edition License

Once a paid edition is offered, the only way to acquire a Permanent Edition License is to purchase Grindscaper through an authorized listing on Steam, itch.io, GOG.com, Google Play, or Apple's App Store, including an available iPhone, iPad, or Mac edition. A refund, chargeback, fraudulent purchase, or material breach of these terms ends this license.

The Permanent Edition License is personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and perpetual for the version of the Game you acquired. It survives delisting or the end of online services, but it does not promise future versions, updates, servers, compatibility, or permanent re-downloads from a storefront. Store account, device, installation, family-sharing, and refund rules continue to apply.

On request and with reasonable proof of purchase, Arkamia will support game preservation by providing an available equivalent standalone build without Arkamia-added DRM where technically and legally practical. This may be a desktop build or a signed Android APK. Apple's signing and distribution rules may make a permanently sideloadable iPhone or iPad build unavailable; in that case, Arkamia may provide an available standalone build for another supported platform instead. A preservation build may not include discontinued online features.

Modding rights for Permanent Edition owners

A Permanent Edition owner may inspect, reverse engineer, and modify a designated standalone build as reasonably necessary to create and use non-commercial mods. This permission does not provide the Game's source code and does not transfer ownership of the Game, its engine, or its assets.

You may distribute your original mod files or patches only when they require a separate, working, lawfully acquired copy of Grindscaper. You may not redistribute the Game, executable builds, source code, asset dumps, access credentials, or a substantially complete substitute for the Game. Commercial distribution requires Arkamia's prior written permission.

Modding permission does not authorize bypassing storefront DRM, code signing, authentication, payments, anti-abuse controls, or platform security. Modified clients may not access official online services, leaderboards, or Subreddit Warfare unless Arkamia expressly marks that use as supported. Mods must not contain malware, infringe third-party rights, or misrepresent themselves as official.

Rights reserved

Except for the Permanent Edition and modding permissions stated above, and rights that applicable law expressly preserves, you may not distribute, sell, rent, sublicense, exploit, reverse engineer, bypass security controls, interfere with online services, or use the Game or its assets to create an unauthorized derivative product. Arkamia and its licensors retain all rights not expressly granted. Third-party components remain subject to their own license notices.

Game progress, ranks, coins, upgrades, rewards, scores, and other virtual content are gameplay features. They are not money or property, have no cash value, and may not be sold, transferred, or redeemed outside the Game unless Arkamia expressly introduces and documents such a feature.

The current Alpha does not sell virtual items. If paid content is introduced, its price, function, platform purchase terms, and applicable cancellation or refund rights will be disclosed before purchase.

The optional Subreddit Warfare mode lets eligible Reddit users contribute valid runs to community battles. Results may use normalized distance, destroyed tank counts, faction membership, and other rules displayed or documented for the mode. Subreddit moderators may configure their community faction and select eligible targets within the available controls.

Arkamia may reject, correct, or remove contributions affected by manipulation, replay, automation, technical error, unauthorized clients, or rule violations. Community standings and moderator controls are game features, not cash contests, gambling, or promises of prizes. The mode may be suspended or reset to preserve fairness, security, or service stability.

You must not:

• cheat, automate play, falsify results, or exploit a defect;
• access another person's data or impersonate another player or moderator;
• probe, overload, disrupt, or circumvent the Game's services or safeguards;
• use the Game to harass others or violate platform community rules;
• use the Game for unlawful or unauthorized commercial activity.

You may report vulnerabilities privately to the contact address below. Do not exploit them or disclose personal data obtained through a defect.

Apple, Google, Reddit, itch.io, hosting providers, and other distribution platforms operate independently under their own terms and policies. Arkamia does not control their accounts, availability, moderation decisions, device backups, or platform services.

Your use of the Game is also subject to the applicable platform's rules. If those rules conflict with these terms regarding that platform's services, the platform rules govern that part of your use.

Arkamia may update, limit, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Game when reasonably necessary for development, maintenance, security, legal compliance, or service operation. Online features may require a supported version and internet connection.

Access may be limited or terminated when a user materially or repeatedly violates these terms, threatens the service or other users, or when required by law or a platform provider. This does not limit rights that cannot legally be excluded.

The Game is provided on an “as available” basis, especially during Alpha testing. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Arkamia does not promise that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every device, or that progress will never be lost.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability, guarantees, remedies, or consumer rights that applicable law does not allow to be excluded or limited. Subject to those mandatory rights, Arkamia is not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable losses arising from use of an experimental or free testing version.

These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, you also retain the mandatory protections and courts available to you under the law of your country of residence.

Before starting formal proceedings, contact Arkamia so the issue can be reviewed and an amicable solution attempted. This does not prevent either party from using any court, regulator, mediation process, or remedy available under applicable law.

These terms may be updated as the Game, online services, or legal requirements change. Material changes will be identified by a revised effective date and terms version. Continued use after updated terms take effect means you accept them, where permitted by law.
